Local Area Ministries
Jesus gave the Great Commission to go and make disciples of all nations. We believe that begins with our local community. There are a number of initiatives where we are seeking to do this. Many of these initiatives fall under a program we have called Neighbourhood 22:39. Neighbourhood 22:39 is based upon the command that Jesus gives his disciples in Matthew 22:39 where he tells them, "Love your neighbour as yourself." So we are seeking to love those in our local area physically, emotionally and spiritually. We have a great passion to do this because we know that our great God first loved us physically, emotionally and spiritually even when we were his enemies. For more information about many of these initiatives please see our partnership page.
Hammondcare - Watergum Social Group
Each week Hammondcare operates a day centre providing experienced community-based aged care and support. Each day an enjoyable and stimulating program is run for those needing that extra care, as well as offering respite for their personal carers.

Kid's Hope
There is a desperate need among our Australian children to be the one-and-only in the life of a caring adult. Our church community has a deep longing to do something real and to make a difference in our local community. We want to help our local schools in the vitally important role that they have to nurture the future generation of Australia. Therefore, Mona Vale Anglican runs a Kid's Hope mentoring program in association with Mona Vale Public School. The church deploys passionate, screened and trained mentors into the school to provide one-to-one mentoring to children in need, for one hour per week.

Pittwater Area Schools Worker Christian Association (PASWCA)
Pittwater Area Schools Worker Christian Association (PASWCA) was formed in 2001. It is an interdenominational not-for-profit organisation that provides spiritual and welfare support to schools in the Pittwater area through the provision of school youth workers. In the Mona Vale Area a worker is deployed into Pittwater High School two days a week. The goal of the worker is to teach students spiritual truths but also to aid in the provision of practical needs like someone to listen or help with school work.
Special Religious Education (SRE)
Special Religious Education (SRE) has made a valuable contribution to the education of thousands of young people in NSW government schools for 120 years. We have had the wonderful privilege of being part of that process in the Mona Vale Area. We currently send numerous trained and accredited SRE teachers into the local schools. We are thankful for the ongoing positive and constructive relationships we have enjoyed with these schools as we participate in this great work together.
