Church Gatherings

Picture

5pm Contemporary Service

Our 5pm service is a Contemporary style. The Avalon Anglican evening congregation has recently joined with the evening congregation at Mona Vale Anglican and our combined congregations meet each week at St John’s Mona Vale, starting at 5pm.

Saturday All Ages Family Gathering

Our new Family @ 4 Ministry starting on Saturday 7th May 2022 will run during school term and allows adults and kids learn to about God together as a family unit through sharing in fun games, modern songs, social interactions, crafts and stories.

Saturday Family @ 4 is a great way for families who engage in other activities like soccer or nippers on Sunday morning to still be part of a church community.

We come together afterwards to share in a Family Dinner and this allows us to get to know others in God's family as well as our own family units.

10am Church

Our 10am service or meeting consists of people from all walks of life. It is fairly informal with a mixture of both contemporary and traditional songs.

The people who attend this service are very friendly and enjoy a chat during our welcoming segment, and afterwards at morning tea. As with our 8am service there is an address from the Bible followed by prayer to put into practice what God is teaching us.

8am Traditional Church

Our 8am service is fairly formal while being relational at the same time. The service itself is a Communion Service, in which we thank God together for the death and resurrection of Christ, and recommit ourselves to living as disciples of Christ. We normally sing three hymns, although occasionally we will include a more contemporary song. The people are very friendly, they greet each other during the service and many stay for morning tea to catch up and welcome newcomers.
